Settle with confidence and enjoy a tailored tax regime

Moving to Switzerland means choosing a country that offers stability, quality of life and financial security.
At Fiduciaire Suisse, we put our expertise at your service to facilitate your residence application and set up a lump-sum tax regime tailored to your situation.

  1. The different types of residence permits in Switzerland

🔹 B Permit — Temporary residence

This permit is for foreign nationals who wish to settle in Switzerland without Swiss citizenship.

  • It is granted for various reasons: employment, study, retirement or residence without gainful employment.
  • Its duration varies depending on the canton, generally between 1 and 5 years, with an obligation to renew.
  • It entitles the holder to reside in Switzerland, subject to certain conditions: health insurance, sufficient financial means and actual residence.

🔹 C permit — Permanent residence

After 5 to 10 years of residence, depending on nationality and canton, it is possible to apply for a permanent residence permit.

  • This status offers greater stability: no more frequent renewals, free movement between cantons and enhanced rights.
  • Integration criteria may apply: language proficiency, respect for the law and participation in local life.
  1. The Swiss lump-sum tax regime

The lump-sum tax (or taxation based on expenditure) allows certain foreign residents to be taxed not on their worldwide income, but on a lump sum calculated according to their standard of living.

Who is this regime for ?

To benefit from this status, you must generally :

  • Be a foreign citizen (non-Swiss)
  • Be moving to Switzerland for the first time or after an absence of at least ten years
  • Not be engaged in any professional activity in Switzerland (employed or self-employed). Certain exceptions exist, for example for non-executive positions, depending on the canton.

This scheme attracts people who want to benefit from a predictable tax environment while living in a stable and secure environment.
